Visual Basic for Applications (VBA) is a form of programming embedded within
Microsoft Office programs (e.g. Word). Once PAS has created the report, the
click of a button can run a whole series of routines that perform tasks that
would be impossible for you to realistically perform manually.
Tasks such as formatting your report, applying styles, moving data, inserting
additional sections, arranging images, entering additional text depending
certain situations, creating image schedules, executing changes based on referrer
or user preferences, creating invoices etc etc. The list is endless.
If you carry out trade work, have you ever had one retailer that likes a
modern style report and another that prefers the traditional look? Not a
problem. We can arrange for the style and layout of the report to alter, without
any input from you, to suit any particular referrer.
Do sentences like " .....the item(s) has/have a
value(s) ascribed to it/them..." annoy you intensely? (as they
do us). Wouldn't it be great if all sentences altered to the correct
subject-verb agreement depending on how many items are in the report. They can
with our coding.
For the more adventurous, our coding can move data to certain folders to
allow additional information to be supplied with your reports in the form of
ebooks, PDF's etc.
